Summerlin Villages in Las
Vegas
Located at the edge of the
Spring Mountains, Summerlin is both higher and
noticeably cooler than other areas of Las Vegas.
One of the largest Master Planned communities in the
United States, Summerlin is made of a residential
"villages" each with its own special flavor.

Summerlin offers
residents over 50 miles of hiking/biking trails,
12 major parks, plus over 50 smaller ones, 7
golf courses, as well as tennis courts, and

There is a strong community
spirit which is reflected in the many activities,
classes, indoor and outdoor concerts and other events
for Summerlin residents, especially for families and
retirees.
The public schools in northern
Summerlin have a reputation for being among the best in
the Las Vegas.
A report in the Las Vegas
Review-Journal identified Summerlin as one of the most
affluent areas in the Las Vegas Valley and many people
think it is, overall, the best area of Las Vegas.
Developed with a 30 year
build-out target by the Hughes Development Corporation,
the name, Summerlin, comes from Howard Hughes' mother's
maiden name.
Cultural life in

A performing arts center and the
Nevada Ballet Theatre as well as the Summerlin Library
call the Trails Village in Summerlin their home.
