Sun City Summerlin
Sun City Summerlin, a
well-established retirement community for people 55+, is
nestled up against the Spring Mountains in the Northwest
section of Las Vegas. It is the northernmost
village of Summerlin, Las Vegas' largest master-planned
community.
Sun
City Summerlin has four very large and beautiful private
community centers for its approximately 9,000 residents,
plus 2 large indoor and 3 outdoor pools, a theater, a
billiard room, dozens of
special interest and activity clubs, fitness
centers, tennis courts, bocce courts and city lights
views that will take your breath away.

There
are three golf courses in Sun City Summerlin which are
open to the general public, but residents enjoy special
rates. There is also a private, members-only Golf
Club available for residents.
Architecturally, the inspiration
is contemporary Spanish style: pastel single story homes
with red tile roofs. Many homes have desert
landscaping for ease of upkeep--no need to bring your
lawn mower if you move here! As with all Summerlin
villages, there are miles of walking trails
throughout.

Because parts of Sun City Summerlin have been in
existence for over 20 years, the landscaping is
mature and trees provide cool shade.

Only one-story homes for resale
ranging from about 1000 sq. ft. to over 2500 sq. are
available now in Sun City Summerlin and most of them are
2 bedroom homes. There are a few homes that have dens.
Some face onto the golf courses and some are along broad
streets that wind through the neighborhood and up the
hills.
The homes in the lower part of
Sun City Summerlin near the Palm Valley golf course are
older and smaller. In this areas there are also attached
"villas", essentially they are single-story townhomes.
At the top of the community, near the Eagle Crest golf
course, are more expensive semi-custom homes.
